Responsibilities and Duties:
? 1. Under minimal instructions, use broad knowledge of engineering technology and its application to lead in the design, development and sustaining product systems or sub-systems.
? 2. Develops solutions to system problems that require sophisticated analysis or testing or sound engineering judgement and experience.
? 3. Formulates system requirements, specifications for systems or subsystems.
? 4. Develops complex designs, feasibility models, prototypes, test and evaluates them technically.
? 5. Prepares technical reports, memorandum as required.
? 6. Coordinate technical activity and provide guidance of non-exempt personnel and jr. engineers as necessary to meet project schedules.
? 7. Presents concepts, data, and recommendations to management in formal design reviews or to customers in technical presentations.
? 8. Lead the solution of complex technical problems involving sub-systems or sub-assemblies.
? 9. Review and approve assemblies, basic design documentation, charts and test procedures.
? 10. Responsible for meeting project milestones and technical requirements of overall product or system.
? 11. Interfaces with fabricators, vendors, technical writers, field service, and quality control and customer technical representatives concerning any aspect of mechanical system responsibility.
? 12. Prepares and develops testing,, quality control specifications and methods.
? 13. Keep abreast of engineering and technology by attending advanced education courses, training seminars, etc.
? 14. Determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
